Well. Here it is. My first beer can. I’ve always wanted to design a beer can. The best part of all … I love this beer. It’s one of my local favorites. Inlet Brewing Company approached Tip Top in need of a design for their beer, Monk in the Trunk. At the time, the beer existed in bottles, but they were making a move to the can fairly soon and wanted to roll out with something fresh. That’s where we came in. A few concepts were presented, but shown here was the chosen one. I learned quite a lot on this project. Who knew that when printing cans, you are limited to only six colors. The original illustration used here had over 13,000 colors. Quite the feat bringing it down to only six and keeping it looking good. Think we did pretty well. And top that off with a new sales sheet to spread the word.
